A utility operator’s protection is only as good as the service area maps they provide to Louisiana 811. If your digital notification database is outdated, you will either be flooded with irrelevant “out-of-boundary” tickets or—worse—miss critical locate requests near your actual buried lines. This member-exclusive session provides a deep dive into IMAP, the online database management application created by One Call Concepts. Attendees will learn how to directly interact with the Louisiana 811 base map to view, add, modify, and delete their organization’s active “Notification Polygons.”

We will walk through the entire polygon transaction process, demonstrating how to use the Work in Progress and Committed queues, search via latitude/longitude or ticket history, and update asset boundaries to ensure your organization receives precise, compliant locate notifications under the state’s updated universal mapping mandates.

Who This Is For
Utility GIS Mapping Personnel & Engineers: Responsible for updating municipal or corporate utility asset maps and ensuring precise coverage inside the 811 system.

Member Operator Compliance Managers: Who need to review existing district codes and adjust notification buffers to align with new infrastructure installations.

Sustaining 811 Members: Businesses or contractors who pay supporting dues but do not own or operate physical underground or submerged utilities.

General Contract Locators: Who only respond to field tickets but do not manage the primary database maps for the utility company itself.
