A note from our director

Thanks for your interest in Louisiana One Call. It’s easy to join, and the modest cost is one of the best investments you can make. It helps reduce your maintenance costs and contributes to public safety. That’s why our program is mandated by law in Louisiana.

Membership is open to anyone who shares our interest in public safety and damage prevention. Regular members include those who own or operate underground or submerged utilities or facilities and who use Louisiana One Call to process calls.

In addition, we offer sustaining memberships to contractors and others without underground or submerged utilities or facilities who share our interest in safety and damage prevention.

The cost of membership is low because Louisiana One Call is a non-profit organization and regular members share operating costs according to their call volume. To apply, simply fill out and return the New Member Application provided below.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Brent Saltzman
Executive Director

We offer two classes of regular memberships for those who own or operate underground or submerged utilities or facilities, one for corporate members and the other for political entities such as municipalities and police juries. Both classes of regular memberships receive notifications of planned excavations.

Regular Members pay $100 in annual dues plus $1.50 for each of the first 20 notifications. Additional notifications currently cost $.90 per call for corporate members and $.72 for political entities. Sustaining Members pay dues of just $200/year to help promote the program. Sustaining Members are businesses or individuals who share our interest in public safety, but do not own or operate underground or submerged utilities or facilities.

Once you are a member, we will begin notifying you of planned excavations or demolitions in the areas you have indicate that your facilities are located. The process is fast and efficient. Best of all, it will help prevent injuries and damages to your lines from excavating or demolishing accidents.

To apply for membership, complete and return the membership application form along with your annual dues check. You may also contact Member Services for more information at 225-275-3700 Ext. 429. Corporation bylaws are available upon request.
